HEAVY DIRT EQUIPMENT

This is a NEW training we began to offer in Spring 2023! This training can be scheduled upon request and will cover machinery such as but not limited to; Skid Steers, Front End Loaders, Loader Backhoes, Excavators

POWER TOOLS

Power tools must be fitted with guards and safety switches; they are extremely hazardous when used improperly. The types of power tools are determined by their power source: electric, pneumatic, liquid fuel, hydraulic, and powder actuated.

DOCUMENT WRITING + SITE VISITS

EWC will assist you in the ever-changing world of compliance and documentation. OSHA stated regulation requires a written plan for all areas ofIIPP’s, EAP’s, Fire protection plans, Fall protection plans, etc. We will aid you in compliance of safety and health programs, site inspections and training are serious violations of the OSHA standards.

FIRE PROTECTION PLANNING

The employer shall be responsible for the development of a fire protection program to be followed throughout all phases of the construction and demolition work, and he shall provide for the firefighting equipment as specified in this subpart.

ACTIVE SHOOTER AWARENESS

CTRT (Complete Threat Response Training) is a multi-sensory timeline training curated from multiple sources like the Emergence Disrupt's S.A.F.E. program (Situational Awareness For Everyone), the FBI and DHS Active Shooter programs, and Committee for Tactical Emergency Casualty Care's protocol for life threatening injuries. It covers three phases of an incident.

  • Pre Threat: covers in depth situational awareness and pre-threat indicators

  • Mid Threat: covers responses to an active shooter/ active threat

  • Post Threat: covers "immediate responder" tactics and interventions for life threatening interventions

NFPA 70E

NFPA 70E requires that only trained and qualified employees can work on or near exposed energized electrical parts and supervise unqualified persons inthe vicinity of the hazard. Another requirement of NFPA 70E is the implementation of an overall electrical safety program.

PPE

Workers to recognize proper Personal Protective Equipment, commonly referred to as PPE. PPE is equipment worn to minimize exposure to hazards

that cause serious workplace injuries and illnesses. Personal Protective Equipment may include items such as gloves, safety glasses and shoes, earplugs or muffs, hard hats, respirators, or coveralls, vests and full body suits.

CAL OSHA + FED OSHA ASSISTANCE

In California, every employer is required by law to provide a safe & healthfulworkplace for their employees. Here are 8 required elements to create your individual Injury Illness Prevention Program:1. Management/Commitment/ Assignment of Responsibilities2. Safety communications system with employees3. Systems for assuring employee compliance with safe work practices4. Scheduled inspections/Evaluation system5. Accident investigation6. Procedures for correcting unsafe/unhealthy conditions7. Safety and health training and instruction8. Recordkeeping and documentation

10.

ACTIVE VIOLENT EMERGENCY RESPONSE TRAINING

AVERT (Active Violent Emergency Response Training) from the Health and Safety Institute. This is a blended option. All participants would complete the online training and then I would come out for the hands-on training. 

AVERT teaches how to:

  • Recognize warning signs using situational awareness

  • Decide whether to escape, evade, or attack

  • Apply critical stop the bleed techniques

  • Respond quickly and confidently in an emergency

  • Pre Threat: covers in depth situational awareness and pre-threat indicators

  • Mid Threat: covers responses to an active shooter/ active threat

  • Post Threat: covers "immediate responder" tactics and interventions for life threatening interventions
